There are seasons of life that quietly divide your world into a "before" and an "after." For me, that season arrived when my husband was diagnosed with cancer. Until then, my career was rooted in public health and federal leadership. My job was to translate complex data into clear information people could actually use. But when illness entered our home, my professional skills became deeply personal. The questions were no longer textbook theories. They were the exact, terrifying realities we were living out every single day.
 

That hard season completely changed the way I view resilience, love, loss, and what it means to keep showing up when there is no map. It also changed the way I write.

Why The Evergreen Life Exists

 

When my life was turned upside down, I started looking for conversations about growth, aging, and wellness. Sadly, most of them felt completely disconnected from real life. They tried to offer quick, comfortable answers before making room for the actual questions.

I wasn’t looking for another perfect formula or a polite cliché. I was looking for language.

The Evergreen Life was born out of that search. I have survived the fire, I have earned my armor, and I am moving forward—unapologetically, and entirely on my own terms.
